Junior Marketing Services Strategist

Job Overview

The Junior Marketing Services Strategist plays a critical supporting role within the Glynt Group Marketing & Services team, contributing to the development, delivery, and optimisation of audience-first media solutions across Tractor Outdoor, Ignis, and Polygon.

The role supports sales enablement, campaign effectiveness measurement, audience analysis, and insight development through the application of data, research, and reporting.

This role contributes directly to strengthening Glynt’s audience measurement capabilities, campaign effectiveness reporting, and commercial insight generation to drive revenue growth and client value. The primary objective is to support marketing services through data and audience analysis, data management, and insights.

In addition, the role supports broader marketing coordination functions for the Johannesburg team, including the planning and execution of events, management of corporate gifting, and general marketing team support to ensure seamless delivery of marketing initiatives.

1. Audience Analysis and Insight Development


  • Support audience analysis across Glynt platforms

  • Assist in developing proposals and sales materials

  • Maintain insight library

  • Develop audience toolkits

  • Support client audience analysis

  • Assist with case studies

2. Campaign Measurement, Reporting and Effectiveness Analysis


  • Support campaign reporting dashboards

  • Analyse campaign performance

  • Prepare post-campaign reports

  • Translate data into insights

  • Build benchmarks

  • Maintain case study library

  • Validate reporting outputs

  • Document innovation campaigns

3. Sales and Commercial Enablement


  • Support development of sales proposals

  • Prepare client insight presentations

  • Develop industry insight reports

  • Support sales tools

  • Support account analysis

4. Research, Data and Platform Management

  • Maintain audience and campaign data

  • Manage research platforms

  • Standardise reporting

  • Ensure data integrity

  • Coordinate research projects

5. Innovation and Strategic Projects Support


  • Support innovation campaign reporting

  • Develop innovation case studies

  • Support strategic initiatives


  1. Marketing Coordination and Support


  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of marketing events, activations, and industry engagements

  • Support management of corporate gifting (sourcing, logistics, and distribution)

  • Coordinate marketing materials and collateral for campaigns, events, and client engagements

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the marketing team

  • Assist in managing timelines and delivery of marketing initiatives

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Required experience and skills

Required:

  • 1–3 years relevant experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Degree in Marketing, Research, or similar

Advantageous:

  • Experience with OMC, BrandMapp, Telmar, or TGI

  • Understanding of measurement

  • Experience with dashboard tools

  • Media industry experience
